Boardly is an academic capstone project that analyzes visual and aesthetic patterns in publicly available Pinterest boards. This Privacy Policy explains what information this website collects (or does not collect), how it is used, and your rights as a visitor.

We are committed to keeping this project simple and transparent. The short version: we do not collect personal data from visitors, and we do not track you.

This website does not:

• Collect your name, email address, or any personal details
• Use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes
• Run analytics scripts (no Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar)
• Use pixels, fingerprinting, or any other tracking technologies
• Require account registration or sign-in
• Store any data you share in a form or input field

Vercel, our hosting provider, may collect standard server-side access logs (IP address, timestamp, URL requested) as part of normal infrastructure operation. This data is handled according to Vercel's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to or control over these logs.

Boardly uses the Pinterest API to access public board data for research purposes. Specifically:

• Access is read-only — we never write, post, or modify any Pinterest content
• We only access publicly available boards and pins — no private boards, no user account data
• No personal information of Pinterest users is requested, stored, or processed
• API usage complies with Pinterest API Terms of Service

This website does not set any tracking or analytics cookies. Vercel may set essential session-level cookies for infrastructure purposes (e.g., routing). These cookies do not identify you personally and are not used for advertising.

Boardly does not integrate with any advertising networks, social media SDKs, or third-party tracking services. The only external service used is:

• Vercel (hosting) — privacy policy
• Pinterest API (read-only public data) — privacy policy

No data is sold or shared with any third parties.

We do not store personal data. Analysis results generated during a session are not persisted to any database. No user-identifiable information is retained after a session ends.

If this policy is updated, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the change. We will not make retroactive changes that affect previously collected data, as we do not collect data in the first place.
